Good morning all.

Haven't been sitting properly since last Wednesday. It seems impossible at the moment with everything that's going on just physically to sit on the chair at my little altar. Feels as if I would need to nail myself down before I could do it.

Maybe walking meditation might be an area to explore right now. I know some of you here have experience of this.

Hugs to everyone, especially Jean and Stray.

Good morning from this side of the Atlantic. I meditated this morning before getting up - not ideal - but better than not doing anything. Mary - sometimes I do walking meditation in the house, usually with a votive candle burning at one end of my "path" back and forth. The hardest thing for me is to make myself walk very deliberately, feeling each foot from toe to heel, but it really helps when I'm too restless to sit...I hope everyone has a good day, and likewise, I send special love to Jean and Stray.

Some of our companions have been really silent lately - how are you, out there? We'd love to have you drop in and let us know as we begin this next 100 days, but don't feel pressured to keep writing.

Thank you, Beth. That's very helpful.

I've been feeling too tense and upset to sit with myself for the past two or three days, but this morning I sat as soon as I got out of bed, before washing or having a cup of tea (but after peeing and feeding the cat!). Because I hadn't had time to start thinking or completely tense up it was much easier. I guess that it is therefore not as beneficial as making the effort later in the day, but it certainly made a difference sitting this morning.

I just loved this slideshow of manhole covers, with music: http://journal.covonline.net/?p=13
- a meditation in itself.
