I forgot to say it's nice to see you back here, Udge, and to read about the trip to Canada.

Found myself meditating in the middle of the night with an awful migrainey headache that was keeping me awake. I sat for ages, breathing into the pain instead of against it, and - somewhat to my amazement - it really did help; the paid did ease a lot.

I was battling a migraine yesterday, too. Seems if I can get on them right away with meds it goes better, but there's sort of a window there and it's never a complete escape. Yick. Breathing does help.

Hi Nicole and Daisy-Winifred. Nice to hear from you.

Lorianne, I suppose a couch cushion is better than a couch potato!

Thanks to all for your warm welcome. It touched my heart.

daisy-winifred, welcome from one quiet reader to another. I'm so glad you have been here all along as well. And Nicole, I've known you were here periodically and thank you for providing your thoughts.

Sorry, the deleted post was me; I messed up.

Just wanted to say to Jean and MB that I'm sending warm thoughts for recovery and energy...

Thanks, Bitterroot, my head's all better! I am fortunate that they don't usually last more than a day.

((jean)) ouch. I am trying to meditate into rather than away from pain at the moment - challenging, but can be effective. MB, I'm glad you're feeling better.

London was amazing today. Such blue skies and sunshine and everybody still in short sleeves. We know we're living on borrowed time ... it's like the bank accidentally gave us money, and we're trying to enjoy it whilst knowing really that we're not entitled.

Nice to hear new voices :)

xx

welcome daisy-winifred and very nice to have your voice here bitterroot.

you poor migraine sufferers. meditating in to or away from the pain....? big question.

sat in the chaos of an uprooted floor and at the hour of apero. INSTEAD of apero. I was proud of myself.

Just walking back from friends where we had dinner with a misty mountain and a half cup moon...smells of pine, marjoram, thyme and jasmine, and 'cade' whatever that is in English! an olefactory meditation in itself. Our cat joined is from 20 minutes away, such was the impact of our voices in the silence.
