I came in and read your comments yesterday, and tears welling in my eyes...

Thank you all so much.

My son, bless him, he's only 19, has been phoning me daily, talking me through this. From both my children I have a strong sense that they felt protecting me from the family more important than being there for Granma. Perhaps they're right, perhaps.

And I am talking to her all the time. And learning a whole other way of understanding the family.

I don't think anyone can take away closeness between people.

Not even in death.

Many blessings, you're all a godsend to me, and I dearly wish I could hug each and every one of you.

Beth, oh dear Beth, you are in my thoughts and prayers constantly... it's a time of peace, a friend once said he thought perhaps that's where the living and the dead meet, a moment in the grieving process that we ought never forget.

Much love.
