Perhaps Blogger was down; it's mid-morning EST, though it must be winding on towards evening in Europe, and I've posted today's and hope that multiple posting of today's meditation don't appear as has happened before!

Besides my usual 15 minute meditation last night, I did a breath-a-minute 3 minute meditation. Three breaths in three minutes, watching the second hand of the clock. It's slow, verrry slow breathing. The first two were easy, by the third I wanted to take great gulps of air and breath fast. I realized that I don't take the breath deep enough, despite my yoga training, and must re-learn to use the diaphram more fully with each belly breath.

It's the day of rising, of coming back to life, after the first full moon of Spring ~ Happy Eostre/Easter, everyone!

Hey there, everyone. Sorry I didn't check in yesterday; I spent most of the day away from my computer, which overall is a good thing.

For this 100 Days, I'm following the lead of Dale & others by making a "micro commitment." Everyday, I want to spend 5 minutes meditating right before bed...and yes, I can do that *in* bed, as I did last night! If I'm feeling eager, I can sit in the morning or some other time during the day, and for a longer time...but at the very least, I want to follow my breath for 5 minutes before breathing turns to snoring.

So, 1 day down, 99 to go! :-) I hope everyone is having a restful Easter, Passover, spring, etc.

We Brits take our holiday weekends seriously, have a late lie in or go out and do something cultural. Thence, I suspect, no one around this morning to post the day - so thanks for doing it, Brenda. I did sit, though, and am wondering if I will keep the commitment to try and sit for a few minutes in the evening too - much harder for me than first thing in the morning.

We had an amazing full moon - huge and pale and hazy - and now the weather is soft and damp.

I sat this morning - about 15 minutes, some chanting, some meditation.

Re posting the date, what Jean says. Mostly it is not a problem but on the occasions - and holiday weekends such as this are a good example - when we Europeans don't make it to the computer in the mornings, it is a comfort to know that there is a second wave of North Americans here ready to fill the gap! It means the responsibility doesn't become stressful.
So,yes, thanks Brenda ....

Yes, Happy Easter everyone! I too am renewing my commitment, small as it sometimes is, but increasingly precious. And I'm very grateful for your companionship here.

Oh, Devon... both feet! OW!

Still feeling very much the resident warthog so I'll take my cue from Lorianne, Dale, and others and make a modest commitment effort this time. 5 minutes a day minimum. Even if sitting on the edge of the tub, eh? See if I can get this meditation thing going again. I keep reminding myself that it is good for me and that it generally doesn't hurt, etc. Still perplexed by my own resistance.
