i have been reading recent comments to catch up with my friends and the SAD discussion is fascinating. Beth, you are spot on about the walking. I go OUT every day, whatever, and it really helps. Julian on the other hand does not go out and he suffers terribly from SAD. It also doesn't help that he needs light to work, and I do my work at night....do you think this has something to do with it?
I am not lost to you, though I do not comment much. I am meditating occasionally, but also in note taking and writing I am finding that I am practicing a kind of meditation. I really FEEL the shower, see the person opposite me in the bar, taste the food... and find myself inexhaustably drawn to the present because it is so rich and thrilled by it! Then I read 'writing down the bones' and the whole book is about writing as a meditation practice. so I am saying hello because i still feel close to you all.
