Ay, ay, I've not been sitting much. Weird. I sit a lovely five-day retreat over Christmas. I feel greater contentment, in a way, than for ages because I'm writing a bit more. And I can't get around to sitting. Maybe the impulse to write and to sit come from the same place, and I need to make it bigger. I think I'll try to go to the Buddhist centre sit from 7-8 pm this evening.

I'd love to know how others are doing.

Hello 100 days! I haven't been around for a long time but I am still meditating daily and I still owe a big debt to this place, which got me started. I linked to you recently at my www.creative-living.blogspot.com blog - not sure if anyone surfed through.
Good to know that people are still here, even though it looks like a quiet phase.

Warmest wishes to you all!

Hi Fiona! Good to see you over here! Jean, I'm surprised to hear you haven't been sitting much, as I thought of all of us, for you it has become second nature.

I'm praying - in my usual contemplative, mostly-wordless way - which is meditation but of a different sort, where posture is unimportant. And reading a fascinating book - Marcus Borg's "Jesus" - he is one of America's most prominent contemporary theologians and has written widely on "the search for the historical Jesus." Buddhists would find this book quite interesting, I think, and not at all off-putting. It's the most sensible and reasoned thing I've read on Jesus as a real person, ever.
