This morning I sat for 45 minutes, quiet inside myself as the wind raged outside, knocking on the windows and rolling the rubbish bins around. It felt good.
I've been helped, over the holiday, by periodic silent retreats to my breath, and fortunately have been able to stay pretty centered. My visit with my father was good but too short, but everyone compromised a little in order to do something that felt OK to everyone else. Today, the first day back in my own house, I feel pretty wiped out, but grateful things went OK. We're going to the ballet tonight and I'm looking forward to that a lot. Love to everyone.
