It's so easy to get waylaid on the NET. Listening to sunbursts this morning recorded in New Mexico at a great weather site: Spaceweather. As if that wasn't enough, I heard "Female Comic Book Superheroes" by Jeannine Hall Gailey over coffee and toasted cheese on multigrain rye at The Writer's Almanac; it's too new for our library system, so I'll have to buy it. I'm in the middle of Middlesex, thanks Jean, and from our library - it's quite a book.

That was me who left a way too long and irrelevant comment last night on my work history and who was woken at 3am by my dog who had most unusually to go out and so I nipped online and nipped it.

Janice I hope things are becoming easier!

Dale, yes, that's why I love teaching yoga so much. Can research and prepare mini papers, even in a series, written in prose poetry, oh lovely, present that, do a meditation, the yoga set, relaxation sequence, another meditation, and then talk for upwards of 2 hours. My instructional material in storage, but I'll look for a place to teach when I get more settled.

Thank you Mary, it was probably just as well. I sent off another resume to another tutoring service. Last year I balked at the hourly rate of all but the agency I work for; but if it's in an office with set hours (no transit costs or travelling time), it's not looking too bad.

*hugs to all - now back to listen to sunbursts!

My dog becomes very alert when a sunburst is playing too!

Jean and Brenda

thanks for Middlesex ... it's waiting for me today at the library and looking forward to it … Jean, your review made me know I wanted it … I do enjoy magical realism and probably fit the ‘abnormal’ category

there's an audiobook version also (unabridged) that I've placed a hold on ... I like these because they leave my hands free to knit, sketch, doodle ... also listen in the car as I do a lot of highway driving to and from work

after reading Dale's weblog entry today, I'm thinking to buy some bus passes ... makes for great reading/thinking time and people watching

barbara, it's very muggy and stormy in paris, and I'm feeling really out of sorts. Understand the weather thing.

I agree with Dale about breaking down the emotions being so helpful. I am already watching myself in a new work situation and this time I do not feel I have to be SOMEBODY to impress everyone. I simply have to be, and I don't have to impress anyone. Watching all the judgements (and subsequent frustrations and sometimes anger) and the fear around me which I know so intimately, and feeling like I've taken a step. Phew. Sometimes it's good to go into a new situation to see that. So still sitting on the move, and now I'm off to bed.

Versailles is lovely but not much time to see it. walked briefly round the gardens in the lunch break.

Hello, everyone. I didn't spend any "cushion time" today, but I walked in the afternoon & sat briefly on my "sitting rock," at least until the mosquitos made that uncomfortable.

Hugs & love to all...
