Yesterday a storage space that may just be big enough if I take all the books out, and my son takes his 'room' to his Dad's, where he now lives, became available. It's $270./month including tax, so only $20. more per month than I'm paying now. It's within walking distance. The storage unit on the 4th floor, so quite safe I think.

That means cramming even more stuff in here, and, wow, but it's so tiny and already chock full.

Yet I was ecstatic because now I'm not rushed into taking another place that might not be adequate long term. Other than that this is a tiny basement apartment (hey I get sun from 2 beautiful southern windows, and can even see the sky, so important to me, trees and sky), and the landlord turns the heat down too low in the Winter (but I have electric oil heaters in storage, we'll be fine - I have the city to back me up on what temperature it's supposed to be for tenants), it's completely fine. Great area. A 15 minute walk to my daughter's school, so she gets some exercise daily, grocery stores, three large parks nearby, one a ravine, great for dog walking, and so many trees that the air is breathable for downtown Toronto.

PS-Storage asks for the 1st month, then you pay monthly, and can move at any time and payment is pro-rated.

My brother picked Tuesday as the day to move me from one, outer suburbia storage unit, to an accessible downtown one.

I'm already tired just thinking about it all, but am relieved at this, what I hope is, an interim solution.

Though, oh Devon... it can happen. Let's include "home" in our meditations!
