I hadn't sat for two days, but got back to it this morning first thing. The texture of my day is different when I do. I have less of the feeling of frantically skimming the surface.

Welcome Atom … the links on your blog are endlessly fascinating, and I really must stop surfing through them now and get on with the day… so happy you’ve joined our motley crew

The Vegan Lunch Box link caught my eye in particular because of my love for good food and cooking. Seems maybe you’re interested in knitting too

Jude, your comment about ignorance made me laugh and warmed my cockles

Happy Cinqo de Mayo

Oh, Ruth, that's lovely.

Head is much better today. It is a beautiful thing to be pain-free. Thanks for everyone's good thoughts.

Was following breath in the middle of the night again. It works better than anything else I've tried. I'm grateful.

Hey there, everyone. I've been skimming comments these past few days, finding my head too "full" with grading to say much coherent in response.

But, how's this for a story...

Today is a gorgeous spring day, so after walking Reggie in the morning, I walked alone to the public library to grade another batch of papers.

Along the way, I stopped to meditate in the downtown gazebo with a perfect stranger who'd set up a sign saying "meditating for peace: please join me." I sat with him for about 20 minutes, and he was still there when I left the library about an hour later: amazing!

I guess the Universe if finding all sorts of creative ways of wooing me back to the meditation mat, even when I'm busy with grading!

great story lorraine!

I sat once before rehearsal and once before the perf. It was an amazing experience moving straight into playing the Bach. I felt like a channel - very emotional at the beginning and then just very centred.

You are obviously an inspiration, Beth.

And how's this - the choreographer - Amanda Miller of Frankfurt fame - is married to the dalai lama's ex body guard! she has been talking mandalas rather alot, it has to be said.

glad headches have lifted.
