Amen to what Jean said. Dale, go to sleep!!

As for me, I just sat a good, solid 10 minutes: not bad for the morning of a teaching day, when I'm usually rushing about prepping for class.

:-) Yeah, I was up late. Sat last night tho, w/ sound as my object of meditation. Still in the ring.

Sat this morning - just as well, because I did two things today that have created some upset within me.

I handed in my notice on my current temp contract - my choice not theirs. But uncertainty looms nonetheless.

I sent a very difficult email to a friend. No reply yet. More uncertainty.

Am trying to breathe and stay with the feelings, not easy because I want to escape them. Glad I have this new regular routine as a point of reference.

Mary, lots of love/ solidarity/ metta/ slow breaths.

10 pm. Just tried to sit and couldn't even manage 5 minutes. Brain and body at a standstill - and not the peaceful kind. Oh well. Thanks to this group, there's no chance that this means I won't try again tomorrow.

ok, i'm in even if a bit late! (Thanks jean) Can I be a little unconventional tho and make this a commitment to making walking my meditation every day. Is that OK? It is so easy not to go, to take time for inner stillness which I find I reach through the rhythm of walking and surrounded by the perfection of nature. It is especially hard with a stressed hermit of a husband 'getting on' hours before he even is out of his bathrobe, and I can often feel guilty that I am not as driven as he but I know I need it, for me, for us and for the planet. So here it is, my commitment in the knowledge that you guys are there to supposrt me!

Hello, "meanwhile," and welcome! I for one love walking meditation as a spiritual practice, so I heartily support your commitment to do it, mindfully, for all beings. So I say, "Walk on!"

Hello, Ruth in France. Great to have you here! It's lovely just to think of you walking meditatively through the vineyards.
