Sunshine definitely helps. Dale, what a wonderful image. It's been a pretty gray year in San Diego, particularly here next to the beach where fog coagulates.
Didn't get much in last night; thoughts had settled a bit, but I became a bit too aware of the nausea and had my session ended for me right quickly. Will try a different time of the day, see if that helps.
just checking in to say I loved coming back to you all again.
Beth sunshine does the trick for me which is why I live where I live. clears the cobwebs almost instantly and allows the joy to flow through. we tend to start our days with fresh juice and then we check mail etc, but as soon as I go outside into the light I remember the bigger picture. I was sad to hear about your miscarriage...perhaps we will email about these stories one day...?
moira my thoughts are with you more than I can say
We missed our cats and I missed my meditation but we are home now after a wonderful trip which made us so glad to have the life we have. I think that animals -as I'm sure children do too - sometimes connect even more clearly to where we are than humans as they have no agenda. What joy they bring.
Moira, I just saw a comment of yours I missed a couple days ago here, in which you said when really I'm just pregnant and I should be able to do... x and x and x and x
All I can say is, !!!
There is absolutely no thing as "just pregnant," in my book. Every woman's experience is different, but it's a huge deal, physically -- you are growing a whole nuther human bean in there, for pete's sake! If I respond strongly, it's because I feel strongly about this. The first trimester of our pregnancy was no piece of cake (an epic story of its own but all's well that ends well), though things to my great relief really did turn the corner right at about 12 weeks. I hope they do for you, and I think they will. The odds are in your favor. :-) Meanwhile, please remember that this miraculous adventure is a very big deal to your body indeed. All my best to you.
Ruth, good to see you back. I followed the crumbs to your site; it is luscious.
Moose, an epic! I am a curious cat now. Lovely, that everything turned out okay. You are absolutely right, of course; I have just told myself so very emphatically, with a "so there" for good measure.
Sat Tuesday. forgot to look at the clock when I started, but estimate something around 15 minutes.
Thank you all for your good thoughts re my mini-ordeal. It was OK but there are more issues to tackle later on. As is often the case the things I worry about most often turn out fine - it's the ones I overlook that come back and bite me.
Ruth, welcome back.
Moira, continuing to hold good thoughts on your behalf.
Beth/Dale: Glad the grumpiness is lifting a bit. Having said that, I think we all need our periodic grumpy moments from time to time ... :-)

Not so grumpy today - probably it helps that we finally have some sunshine in New England! How about you, Dale??
I'm sticking to my 24 minutes at the very end of the afternoon. Seems like the settling down has been easier the past few times.
Beth, glad you are feeling a little sunshine! We've got rain here, so I'm guessing Dale (to the West) does also?
Mary, thinking of you today.
15 minutes. Shorter than I'd like.
No, actually the sun has broken through for a bit, and the neighbors' roofs are steaming. We had our first frost last night. Not so grumpy today :-)
Sat fifteen minutes or so, last night.
