Hey! {{{Soen Joon}}}

Well, if that's not a blessing, what is?

(Some of you will know this, and some won't: Soen Joon is in the process of becoming a Buddhist nun in Korea.)

20 minutes. Visual stuff went better, kept my eyes only very slightly open (for now) and I think that helped. Lots of auditory distractions as my sweetie is working from home, sick. Complete with barging in, saying "Where's my love?!" Heh: more fodder for practice! ("These are just sounds, just sounds.")

sat for fifteen minutes until I could bear the military planes no more...it turns out our paradise farm is in three intense military aviatic training paths so I ended up having an in depth conversation with the guy at airbase about how they had to practice their flying, especially in these terrorist threatened times just as i had to practice my cello. The conversation went better than the meditation in that I stayed calm and sort of attentive and didn't shout at anyone. Does this count? It's quite rare for me!

moose, I have the same problem with my sweetie. He seems to sense something beautiful happening. Now I tell him in advance. It seems to help...

Welcome Soen Joon!!!!

Sat yesterday morning - one of those ohmigod-I've-overslept mornings so not the most focussed I've ever been. But, I lit my candle and my incense,closed my eyes and did my best for 10 minutes. (And the company did not collapse because I was late in, in fact nobody noticed.)
