Oh, let's go with 4 am in London on Friday - I'll be interested to see if I can do it!

Wow, Jean, you're wonderful: I don't know if I'd commit to 4 am! As for me, I'm writing "11 pm Thursday" on my calendar: I'll "see" y'all then.

I woke up with every intention to sit first thing...except I have a splitting sinus headache. (ugh) It strikes me that I'm used to sitting with all sorts of other discomforts (sore knees, achey back, etc), but headaches really do me in, especially sinus ones where your face hurts.

Anyhow, I'm waiting for the painkiller to kick in, then I plan to sit. In the meantime, I think sticking my head under a hot shower sounds good...

I'll be there ... what a nice comfortable time for us on the west coast of North America ... 8 pm. Thanks, Dale, for making and posting the schedule

Jean, my tai chi teacher used to tell me that 4 am was the most auspicious time for healing. She gave me some massage techniques for my injured knee and said 4 am was the time to do it ... it worked

Janice, I can't think of a lovelier encouragement to get up early!

I'm so excited to see your photo and your blog (I said this yesterday, but it disappeared).

Lorianne, hope you feel better soon. Sinus headache is horrid. I too find it difficult and sometimes impossible to meditate with a bad headache.

There's nothing like an impending anniversary to get me back on my cushion.

Lorianne, I hope you feel better; I'm right on the verge of one of those headaches, so you have my sympathy and good thoughts.

I'm intereted to see if the energy of sitting is different when a whole bunch of us do it together. I've never meditated in any kind of group, never mind one that's spread over so much territory. This sounds like fun!

Jean, you are brave indeed!

Lorianne, hope that head's better by now. No fun.

Dale, thank you.

Janice, it is wonderful to see your face and your blog.

Thanks for the well-wishes, everyone. The headache's turned into a day-long thing, with painkillers keeping it mostly but not entirely at bay. I'm hoping a good night's sleep will help...

I did, though, go to yoga tonight: the first class I've been to since the spring. So that was a good thing to re-connect with.
