I guess summer is nearly over, yes. Good to know you're still there, Dave.
I'm reading Stephen Batchelor's 'Living with the Devil' - very relevant to recent discussion here about uncertainty. You could say that he defines the devil as our day-to-day experience of uncertainty as almost unbearable and nirvana/heaven as acceptance of uncertainty.
Ay, ay, did not sit last night again despite renewed commitment. I did sit this morning, though (and keeled over and nearly went back to sleep; exhausting myself by STRUGGLING with life again - why do I do that?)
(((Jean))) Why do we struggle so? I don't know. Interesting to hear of Batchelor's take on the devil. Which I think relates to the struggling, for me.
Janice, happy pootling to you! What gorgeous territory to cruise! And I'm grinning, knowing that you are singing with me. I love the way that makes me feel connected to you.

Hi Dave and Jean
almost over? and so it is ...
I'm pootling up the road today for the last long weekend of summer
China Beach, French Beach, Lost Creek and Port Renfrew
lots of beachcombing, log sitting, clam digging and singing with Willie Nelson "On the Road Again" and MB
