I have been very scattered and uncentred this past week so I deliberately took yesterday away from the computer so as to be ready for the group meditation. I did some chanting for about 10 mins before and then sat quietly at 4pm and made myself aware of everyone here(and maybe some silent people who follow the blog as well and who were joining in). Very peaceful, and I am glad we are doing it on a regular basis.
Jean: so sorry about the migraine, hope things are gradually improving.
I have much enjoyed reading yesterday's posts, thank you everyone, and thank you Dale for the timetable.
Good morning! Honestly, there is no need to thank me for the bows. Thank you for being there to bow to! I was just responding to a spontaneous inner prompting.
How many are we? I don't really know. There are the regular commenters whose names we know, plus a few people who have appeared and disappeared but may still be following the blog, as Mary suggests. It seems especially important to remember and support those who may be following the blog and the comments but are silent. I love the Buddhist saying, "You can never know when your words will become a ferryboat for someone." I have been helped so much on the spiritual path by people who never knew it - writers, long-dead sages, people whose faith or commitment made an impression on me...it's a long list.
morning. how lovely to receive your bows beth, and your mindfulhertness everyone.
just managed to find a quiet place to sit at work and sat 10 minutes just before the dress rehearsal. Have been taking care of an ill hubby in one small room till now today, it was good to find a space for nothingness.

Mary, I am glad the group meditation helped to bring you into a centred place. It was very special.
Thank you, Beth, for the bows. How many of us are there?
Dale, joining us from Rocky Butte, wow. I could almost picture the expanse as you described your position at 8am on the planet!
Next month's group sit is already on my calendar!
